DIY Assembly

Our Pergolas come with comprehensive assembly instructions, designed for easy self-fitting with basic DIY knowledge. We recommend having two additional people and a range of tools for assistance during assembly.

The estimated build time varies depending on the model size, ranging from 1 to 5 hours. We strongly advise anchoring the Pergola to the ground before assembly, ensuring it is securely fixed to a sturdy foundation. Please note, your warranty will not cover damage caused to a Pergola that has not been properly anchored.

A natural fall of approximately 15mm is required for proper water drainage and screen fitting, typically found in most patio settings. You can adjust for variations in patio levels by using packers under specific legs to ensure optimal performance.

Rain, Wind & Storm Resistance

When the louvres are fully closed, the roof provides complete weatherproofing under standard conditions. Rainwater is directed from the roof louvres into the guttering and then internally drains down through the legs. In exceptionally heavy rainfall or extreme weather, there may be minor leakage due to the drainage system's capacity being exceeded, similar to home guttering or external drains.

The Rota Louvered Pergola is a semi-permanent structure, securely fastened to the surface rather than anchored below, ensuring robustness and durability while retaining mobility if necessary. They are designed to withstand winds up to 120km/h, and even higher when properly secured. During severe weather, it's advisable to keep the roof louvres slightly open to allow airflow through the structure.

Modular Free Standing or Connected To Your Building

The exterior legs of the frame are essential and cannot be detached. Nevertheless, if you opt for installation we offer the option to position the footplates flush against the wall and include flashing to seal the gap between the structure and the building's roof beam.
